Policy

The Policy Section offers information on changes in social policies for up to 19 European countries collected until 2016 within PERFAR, the data portal of the network Population Europe, hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research.
Here you can find information on specific laws, including details on their main implications, benefits and requirements, relevant dates and actors involved, as well as links to original sources and related legislation. Country profiles provide additional background information on the specific policy context.

The database offers information on the following topics:

The project received funding from the Max Planck Society, from the project “Population Europe 2.0.”, funded by the European Commission’s DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion under grant agreement n° VP/2012/008 (www.population-europe.eu) and from the project “FamiliesAndSocieties”, funded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement n° 320116 (www.familiesandsocieties.eu).
