This section provides legal information on maternity protection; this includes the period before, during, and immediately after childbirth in which mothers take leave from work. It is generally intended to protect the health of the mother and the baby.
Please note that legal documents primarily refer to more far-reaching reforms. Information on minor policy modifications, e.g. changes to benefit rates, may not be found in this collection (compiled in PERFAR until 2016).
